AMBEDKAR JAYANTI
"Cultivation of mind should be the ultimate aim of human existence". Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was a man of many virtues. He was a jurist, economist, politician, and a social reformer. Popularly known as Babasaheb, he was a man of social substance who became India's first ever independent law minister and an architect of the Indian Constitution. To pay tribute to his contributions made, the school celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti on 13th April, 2023 in the school premises. Special assembly was conducted to commemorate his teachings and his contributions in framing Indian Constitution and also its application which is our future responsibility. The students made posters, wrote slogans on National Integration and took oath to uphold the dignity of the Constitution. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
Orientation Day
Under the guidance of Respected Chairperson Dr.S.D.Malik Mam, the schoo organized the Orientation Day for parents and children in the month of April, 2023. The purpose of the orientation was to make parents familiar with the working of the school. The event was graced by Dr.Inder Malik Sir, Managing Director- RPM Lovely Group of Schools, Dr.Mahima Mam, Principal-The Baptist Convent Sr. Sec. School and Mr. Satyam Sir Director, LPES. The event commenced with a welcome speech followed by a prayer by the students. Our tiny tots of nursery then presented a beautiful bouquet of rhymes. Furthermore, a ball drill was presented, wherein our children showcased their physical fitness and coordination. The major objective of the program was to make the parents aware of the various co-curricular activities that aid the overall development of the children. The event was much appreciated by the parents and they were delighted and proud to be the part of the school family.
Mahavir Jayanti
Mahavir Jayanti is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavira. Despite being A surrounded by luxuries and comforts, he was never attracted to worldly pleasures. He left his home to find inner peace and tranquility. The school celebrated this day enthusiastically. Students participated with great zeal in various activities held in school like colouring and sketching.
World Book Day
Books are our best friends. They are also a good philosopher and a guide and serve the purpose of a good companion, whenever needed. The World Book Day, a day dedicated to book lovers around the globe. Books have been educating and inspiring us for thousands of years. So it should go without saying that the World Book Day is more than a well deserved day. Books are more than simple pieces of paper with words on them. They are a door into another world, whether that's one full of fiction and imagination or a factual world that teaches you incredible new things. World Book Day is all about celebrating the wonderful power of books and the joy of reading. World Book Day was commerated on April 23rd, 1995 by the UNESCO. Each year on 23rd April events take place all over the world to recognise the scope of books- a link between generation and across cultures. On this day, we also remember the world famous author William Shakespeare, who was born and also died on this day. It's not just a day to develop love of books but also a day where children and young people can gain access to books. We know that making everyday a book day can have significant impacts on children and young people's well being.
Eid-AL-Fitr
May Allah bless You! May this blessed festival bring you the joy of togetherness, love and peace.Wishing everyone happy Eid. Festivals can be a great way to experience new cultures, connectivity with people from different backgrounds and developing cultural equality amongst the students, creating joyful memories. Eid-Al-Fitr was celebrated joyfully in our school. Enlightenment was the main aim of celebration by spreading the message of brotherhood amongst students .The celebrations Started with a special assembly where students and teachers gathered to offer prayers. The school was decorated with colourful balloons, adding to the festive fervour. Students participated in various activities whole-heartedly. The celebration ended with a funfilled group photo session, capturing the memorable moments of the day. Overall, it was a wonderful celebration that brought everyone together and reinforced the values of unity, diversity and cultural heritage.
Mother Day
Mother's day is a special day, for all children and mothers as, it celebrates the bond of love and affection that is everlasting. Mothers are the emotional backbone of the family, who have the magic touch to heal all wounds and make all things beautiful. The children under the guidance of Respected Chairperson-Dr.S.D.Malik mam and Dr. Mahima mam, expressed their love by presenting a heart warming and stupendous Special Assembly for their mothers. They expressed their gratitude through a musical ballet, which left everyone teary eyed. The main attraction of the event were performances by mothers in group, solo & mother- child duo dance, fashion show, cooking, singing, poem recitation, fun filled games etc. Children also participated in various craft activities and made beautiful cards and wrote poems for their mothers. The mothers were overwhelmed with the gesture of love shown by their children.
Guru Purnima
Special assembly was conducted on the auspicious occasion of the Guru Purnima, where children participated enthusiastically. The Principal Dr. Mahima Ma'am paid tribute to the Guru and showered her blessings upon the students. The event left a lasting impact, fostering reverence for teachers and promoting a sense of gratitude among the students.
Forgiveness Day
A day to forgive and be forgiven, Forgiveness Day is a chance to set things right. Putting aside old differences, moving beyond grievances and starting afresh, that is the motto of this day. To inculcate the value of forgive and forget, teachers interacted with students regarding their beautiful ideas of forgiving others in various situations. The importance of accepting mistakes and seeking forgiveness was also discussed. Children made beautiful and colourful sorry cards to seek forgiveness from their family and friends.
Muharram
Muharram (fully known as Muharram ul Haram), is the first month of the Islamic Calender. It is one of the four sacred months of the year when warfare is forbidden. It is held to the second holiest month after Ramadan. Muslims also make donations to the poor during Muharram and religious hymns called Noha are recited during this month. Imam Hussain Ali, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, was believed to have been killed on this day. Muharram is one of the most important months for Muslims and marks the start of the Islamic New Year. Many Muslims opt to fast on this day to show thankfulness. Some engage in mourning rituals. Some gather at mosques to cry over Hussain's death and to remember the importance of what the Prophet's family did for justice, while others perform public rituals that include chest-beating and self-flagellation with chains. Muharram is not a festival to celebrate but it is the month of Mourning.
World Population Day
World Population Day was celebrated in the school with great enthusiasm. Students actively participated in creating informative PowerPoint presentations (PPTs) on various population-related topics. The PPTs were visually appealing and contained valuable information about issues such as overpopulation, gender equality, reproductive health, poverty alleviation, and sustainable development. The students showcased their creativity by incorporating multimedia elements into their charts, and models, to provide further insights into population dynamics.
National Parents Day
On the special occasion of National Parents Day, the school organized a heartwarming activity to celebrate the invaluable bond between students and their parents. The school was filled with excitement and anticipation as students prepared for this meaningful activity. They poured their hearts into expressing their love and appreciation for their parents through their chosen medium. The activity not only allowed students to showcase their artistic skills but also served as a reminder of the importance of cherishing and honoring parents. It was a touching experience to witness the outpour of love and respect from the young minds towards their parents. In conclusion, the National Parents Day celebration was a resounding success, as students demonstrated their love and gratitude towards their parents.
RPM Udaan
RPM Udaan is the Annual Sports Meet which was initiated by our Respected Chairman Dr. R.P. Malik Sir. This event mainly focuses on the holistic development of the students and to encourage them to participate and lead in different sports. According to him, the children are the rare gems who have a special spark in them which needs to be nurtured and bloomed with guidance and support. Sir was a true educationist who brought a great revolution in the field of Education. His hard work, devotion and larger vision brought a remarkable rise in the quality of education blended with the knowledge of traditions, culture, ethics and moral values of our motherland. Dr. R.P. Malik is the legend who shall always be remembered for lightening the torch of knowledge and taking his educational institutions to greater heights. This year, The Baptist Convent Sr. Sec. School got the proud privilege to organize this mega event. The participants of all the branches were invited to showcase their excellent skills and sportsmanship in this Annual Meet. Different races and sports events took place for the two consecutive days i.e 8th August and 10th August. The students showed exuberant skills with active participation and bagged many prizes. The programme blended with Dr. R.P. Malik Sir's birthday celebration with Spiritual, Cultural and Sports events. The event was graced by the Honorable Chairperson Dr. (Mrs.) S.D. Malik ma'am, Managing Director of RPM Lovely Group of Schools Dr. Inder Malik Sir, Administrative Officer Mr. Satyam Malik and the Incharges of different branches. The Principal Dr. Mahima Ma'am along with the school band welcomed the Chief Guest, DCP East District IPS Amrutha Guguloth. The event started with the hoisting of National Flag by dignitaries. The Chief Guest motivated the students that they should take an Udaan in their life and should never stop until they reach their goals. She also appreciated the commendable performance of the students. The Principal, Dr. Mahima ma'am presented momentos and token of remembrance to all the dignitaries. The presence of parents added radiance and magic to the gala event. The sports event wasn't just about competition though it was a celebration of fitness, fun and fostering a healthy lifestyle incorporating the values aligned with the teachings of the Legend, Dr. R.P. Malik Sir.
EID-Al-MILAD
Id-ul-Milad, also known as Mawlid al-Nabi, is a significant Islamic festival that commemorates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. It is celebrated by Muslims worldwide with great enthusiasm and reverenceThe celebration of Id-ul-Milad at BCS was a meaningful and joyful occasion. It provided an opportunity for students to learn about the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad and fostered a sense of unity and cultural awareness. The event left everyone with a sense of spiritual enrichment and a deeper understanding of the values upheld by Islam.
36th RPM Declamation
On 14th September 2023 , The Baptist Convent Sr. Sec. School hosted a heart warming R.P.M Declamation Contest specifically designed for Senior Citizens. This event aimed to celebrate the wisdom and experience of our elderly community members, providing them with a platform to share their thoughts and stories. The competition featured a group of elderly participants, each with their unique life experiences and perspectives. The participants spoke on SECRETS TO LIVE OLD AGE GRACEFULLY close to their hearts, including personal life journeys, historical events, and lessons they wished to impart to younger generations.While it was a competitive and a more of a celebratory event, every participant contribution was appreciated, and they were all acknowledged as winners for sharing their valuable insights and stories.The event was presided over by Chairperson Dr.(Mrs) S. D. Malik Ma'am , Managing Director of RPM Group Of Schools , Dr Inder Malik Sir , eminent jury members Mrs Urmil and Mrs Vandana Gandhi and our enthusiastic participants . The speeches were met with a warm applause, and the audience was deeply moved by the wisdom and life experiences shared by the elderly participants. The declamation for senior citizens was a heartwarming and meaningful event that bridged generational gaps and celebrated the rich life experiences of our elderly community members. It provided an opportunity for both the participants and the audience to reflect on the importance of intergenerational dialogue and the wisdom that older generations can offer.The Baptist School is committed to fostering a sense of community and inclusivity, and events like these are a testament to our dedication to creating a supportive environment for people of all ages.
Teacher Day
Every year, India celebrates the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as National Teachers' Day as a tribute to his contributions and achievements. Born on September 5, 1888, Dr Radhakrishnan not just served as the President of India but was also a scholarship, philosopher, and Bharat Ratna Awardee.There is no doubt that being a teacher is a noble profession that deserves an equal amount of love and respect as any other professions.On Teachers' Day 2023, students of the Baptist Convent School expressed their love, respect and gratitude to their teachers. Special Assembly was conducted on this day where students spoke about the great contributions of the teachers in their lives. Respected Principal Ma'am addressed the students and teachers on this day with her words of wisdom. All the Academic Heads, Teachers, Administrative Staff were given the privilege to watch movie to make this day memorable. This day is a reminder to all those teachers who play an outstanding role in nation-building by guiding and educating the brightest minds of our country.
Annual Day
In a dazzling display of creativity and skill, our annual function RPM USTAAV 2023-24 unfolded with unparalleled grandeur. The school ground pulsated with energy as students captivated the audience with mesmerizing performances, ranging from vibrant cultural acts to poignant theatrical presentations.
The Baptist Convent School will not forget the evening of October 2023 when the Principal Dr Mahima Ma'am and the entire team of Baptist welcomed the esteemed respected Chairperson Dr( Mrs) S.D. Malik Ma'am , Director of RPM Lovely Group of Schools Dr. Inder Malik Sir , Administrative Director of RPM Lovely Group of Schools Mr . Satyam Malik ,Chief Guest Shri Puneet Kumar Patel ( Additional District Magistrate , East District , Delhi ), Guest of honour Shri Vinod Madan ( Senior Social Activist), Mr. Vishesh Chhabra( Radio Jockey 107.2 FM Punjabi Fever) and Mr. Yuvraj Gupta ( Singer, Entrepreneur and investor ) and all the Vice Principals and the incharges of the different branches . Their profound words and presence resonated with all present, emphasizing the transformative power of education and the boundless potential within each student.
Parents, teachers, and students alike revelled in the joyous celebration, making it a night to be etched in our memories. The annual function, not only showcased our students' talents but also fostered a sense of community and pride.
19th October 2023 evening also resonated with academic brilliance. The air was filled with pride and applause as each scholar's name echoed through the school, acknowledging their dedication and hard work. The felicitation ceremony was a testament to the pursuit of excellence within our academic community where the students scoring 100% and 99% in their respective subjects in class XII board Examination were awarded with the cash prize of 21000 Rs and 11000 Rs respectively along with National , State and Zonal winners.

Gandhi Jayanti
The school celebrated the Birth Anniversary of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi ji with pride to honour his teachings and contributions in India's struggle for freedom. Children made beautiful posters, cleanliness drives were conducted and teachers discussed the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi with the students. Students pledged to follow the path of righteousness and to be truthful and honest in their behavior.
Dusshera
Dusshera is celebrated on the occasion of the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana and victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahisasur. The celebrations and the burning of effigies of Ravana symbolize the victory of good over evil. It is celebrated all over the country will full enthusiasm. The Celebration was in full swing in the school premises as the students participated in craft activities and rangoli making competition. Highlight of the celebration was depiction of Ramayan in form of short acts by the little toddlers.
World Food Day
It is celebrated every year on '16th October'. It is an 'annual celebration' in the honour of the 'founding of Food and Agricultural Organization' by the 'United Nations in 1945'. The day was observed in the school with the aim of teaching students to appreciate and respect food. Besides to recapitulate the importance and benefit of healthy and balanced diet, different activities like making of food pyramid, balance diet plate and healthy food tiffin competition were conducted.
World Student Day
Every year 15th of October is observed as World Students Day to commemorate and acknowledge the remarkable contribution of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam in strengthening the space research and education in India. The students made beautiful posters to honour and celebrate his love for science and students. His wisdom and knowledge was beyond comparison, students therefore shared few of his valuable quotes to highlight the same.
